Three Models.
Twelve Matches.
One Reality.
Different representations. Different answers. One outcome that cannot be negotiated.
On 1 October 2026, VIC·TORI documented twelve decisions for English Championship matches scheduled for 9–11 October. Two approaches chose H/D/A or abstained. A third evaluated the reliability context of the first. Their outputs — including conflicts, abstentions and warnings — were frozen without a rule for combining them.
Three questions, not one consensus.
The three approaches are not three interchangeable forecasts. Resolver and Universe Filter each produce a decision or PASS. Meta-Omega labels the historical reliability context of Resolver's decisions rather than predicting the match outcome.
Resolver
Existing Solver / Compiler production decision: home win (H), draw (D), away win (A), or PASS. Frozen output: 7 BET, 5 PASS.
Universe Filter
Starts with {H, D, A} and eliminates branches whose transition classes are incompatible with frozen profitable history. Frozen output: 8 BET, 3 substantive PASS, 1 technical PASS.
Meta-Omega
Does not forecast H, D or A. Checks whether a current trajectory resembles historical regions where Resolver was RIGHT or WRONG, at α=0.10 and α=0.20.
No revised picks.
These values reproduce the report dated 1 October. The table contains all twelve matches and both frozen Meta-Omega thresholds. There is no retrospective agreement rule, recalculated prediction or disclosed match result.
| Date | Match | Resolver | Universe Filter | Meta-Omega α = 0.10 | Meta-Omega α = 0.20 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 09 OCT | West Ham — QPR | H @1.47 | PASS | RIGHT | RIGHT |
| 10 OCT | Blackburn — Cardiff | PASS | H @2.50 | n/a | n/a |
| 10 OCT | Bolton — Stoke | A @2.60 | A @2.60 | RIGHT+WRONG | RIGHT+WRONG |
| 10 OCT | Charlton — Bristol City | PASS | H @3.10 | n/a | n/a |
| 10 OCT | Derby — Wrexham | PASS | PASS | n/a | n/a |
| 10 OCT | Middlesbrough — Wolves | A @2.85 | A @2.85 | RIGHT+WRONG | WRONG |
| 10 OCT | Preston — Millwall | PASS | H @2.55 | n/a | n/a |
| 10 OCT | Sheffield Utd — Lincoln | H @1.93 | PASS | RIGHT+WRONG | RIGHT+WRONG |
| 10 OCT | Swansea — Norwich | H @2.40 | A @2.55 | RIGHT+WRONG | RIGHT+WRONG |
| 10 OCT | Watford — Burnley | PASS | H @2.70 | n/a | n/a |
| 10 OCT | West Brom — Birmingham | D @3.35 | A @2.90 | RIGHT+WRONG | RIGHT+WRONG |
| 11 OCT | Southampton — Portsmouth | H @1.51 | PASS* | OUTSIDE | OUTSIDE |
H / D / A = home / draw / away. @ indicates the recorded decimal odds; PASS = no selected outcome.
RIGHT = RIGHT-only compatible history; WRONG = WRONG-only; RIGHT+WRONG = both regions (no separation); OUTSIDE = neither region; n/a = Resolver returned PASS.
PASS* (Southampton – Portsmouth) is a technical Universe PASS: the match had only a last observed state without a before→after pair. It remains unscorable in this frozen version.
What the disagreement tests.
These are observations about frozen model outputs, not explanations of eventual results. Every example below was identified before Reality was opened.
Middlesbrough — Wolves
Resolver and Universe both choose A @2.85, but Meta-Omega at α=0.20 marks Resolver's context WRONG. Does agreement conceal fragility?
Swansea — Norwich
Resolver selects H @2.40; Universe selects A @2.55. Meta-Omega remains RIGHT+WRONG at both thresholds.
West Brom — Birmingham
Resolver selects D @3.35; Universe selects A @2.90. Here too the reliability context does not separate RIGHT and WRONG.
Southampton — Portsmouth
Resolver selects H @1.51; Universe has technical PASS*. Meta-Omega returns OUTSIDE at both thresholds.
West Ham — QPR
Resolver selects H @1.47; Universe abstains, while Meta-Omega is RIGHT at both thresholds. This tests whether its reliability label has practical meaning.
Derby — Wrexham
Both outcome approaches return PASS. Refusal to choose remains visible alongside the selections and disagreements.
